The Bosch Lollipop Test for SARS-CoV-2 is one of the first rapid pooling PCR rapid tests that can be performed directly at the point of sample collection. The result of the PCR test is available in less than 45 minutes.
The Vivalytic SARS-CoV-2 Pooling Test with a lollipop swab is a qualitative PCR-based test for the detection of the SARS-CoV-2 pathogen. Fifteen samples are tested at the same time using only one cartridge. If the result is negative, all pooled samples have been tested negative. If the test is positive, the individual samples must be retested individually.
The easy handling and with little manual sample preparation make the Vivalytic analyser particularly attractive for use directly at the point-of-need by healthcare professionals. The fifteen samples are tested with one cartridge. The cartridge is then inserted into the Vivalytic analyser and the test starts automatically.
For the test, saliva samples are used with the help of a lollipop swab. 5 Lolli swabs are collected in a transport tube with liquid. 3 of the transport tubes are pooled together in one cartridge. To do this, liquid (3 x 250µl= 750 µl) is added to the cartridge from each tube using a pipette. The cartridge is then inserted into the Vivalytic analyser and the test starts automatically. Even less samples can be processed as long as the total volume of 750µl is added to the cartridge.
